Man Booked for Molesting Infant Niece, Case Registered in Maharashtra's Thane
A 21-year-old man in Thane, Maharashtra, has been charged with molesting his cousin's 18-month-old daughter. The child's father is also implicated for threatening his wife when she reported the incident. Both men face charges under the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act.

Police in Thane district, Maharashtra, have registered a case against a 21-year-old man for allegedly molesting his cousin brother's 18-month-old daughter. The case follows a complaint filed by the child's mother.
Authorities have also booked the child's father, who allegedly threatened his wife after she reported the incident to him. The incident occurred on May 8 in Bhiwandi, but the complaint was only filed on Sunday.
Charges against the two men include sections of the Indian Penal Code related to assault, criminal intimidation, and common intention, as well as provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
