Police sources confirmed on Saturday that the dismembered body of a 29-year-old woman was discovered in a house in Malleswaram, Bengaluru.
The victim, identified as Mahalakshmi, was found cut into over 30 pieces and stored in a refrigerator. Authorities believe the gruesome act occurred around a week ago.
Additional Commissioner of Police (West Zone) N Satheesh Kumar noted that forensic experts and dog squads had visited the scene, launching a comprehensive investigation. The incident brings to mind the brutal murder of Shraddha Walker in Delhi last year, raising concerns about similar patterns of violent crimes.
