British Foreign Minister David Lammy made a significant announcement on Wednesday, declaring that the UK would extend a further £600 million ($781 million) in support to Ukraine. This came during his visit to Kyiv alongside U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The British government detailed that this package includes £242 million aimed at humanitarian aid and £484 million in loan guarantees for World Bank lending to Ukraine scheduled before the year's end. This is in addition to the UK's already committed £3 billion annual military support for Ukraine.

Lammy emphasized in a statement that these funds will provide 'vital support to Ukrainians as they endure relentless Russian attacks.' He reiterated the firm stand with the US in support of Ukraine 'for as long as it takes.' The UK also pledged to deliver additional air defence missiles, tens of thousands of artillery ammunition rounds, and more armoured vehicles by year-end.
