Three men were arrested for allegedly firing at the staff of a club in East Delhi's Jhilmil Industrial Area over bill payment, the police announced on Tuesday. The accused have been identified as Shahrukh (30) and Tanish (22) from Ghaziabad, and Sangam Chahar (22) from Baghpat, officials said.

On Friday, the police received a report of a shooting at the club. The complainant, a bouncer at the venue, noted that around 11.45 pm, four individuals in a white car arrived and two of them fired eight to ten rounds aiming to kill him and other bouncers at the gate, according to a senior police officer. During the investigation, the police reviewed over 100 CCTV cameras and identified two suspects. A trap was set and three accused were apprehended, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surender Choudhary. Tanish revealed that on August 22, it was Sangam's birthday, and they had a party at the club, which resulted in a bill of Rs 1.70 lakh. Tanish refused to pay and demanded a reserved table for future visits, leading to an argument with the owner. Tanish, along with Shahrukh, Sangam, and Adil, planned to retaliate, police said. On Thursday, the four gathered near Apsara Border and headed to the club. Tanish and Adil were armed and fired at the club staff, officials confirmed.

A video of the shooting circulated on social media showed three to four men pointing guns at three bouncers, including a woman.
