Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Friend in Baghpat

A man in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly murdering his friend. Amit Kumar reported his employee Shahzad missing, leading to the arrest and confession of Suraj. The incident occurred during an argument over money. The victim's body has been sent for postmortem.

A man has been taken into custody in Baghpat district, Uttar Pradesh, for the alleged murder of his friend, police announced on Tuesday.

On August 30, Amit Kumar filed a complaint that Shahzad, an employee at his garment shop, had been missing since the evening of August 29, according to Circle Officer (Baraut) Vijay Chaudhary. During the investigation, Suraj, a resident of Baraut, was identified as the prime suspect and later confessed to the crime.

Chaudhary reported that Suraj confessed to meeting Shahzad near the old railway godown, where an altercation over money led to Shahzad's death. The victim's body has been sent for postmortem, and further investigations are ongoing.
