A police sub-inspector (PSI) in Hudkeshwar has levelled serious charges against BJP MLA Mohan Mate and several others, alleging they assaulted him over a tenancy dispute.
PSI Shyam Kanojiya stated in his complaint that the MLA, his landlord, and seven more individuals confronted him on Thursday night. He alleges that Mate grabbed his collar and verbally abused him, while the MLA's supporters assaulted him.
Contrary to Kanojiya's claims, an official from the Hudkeshwar police station indicated that the incident involved only a verbal spat. The landlord had earlier complained about Kanojiya's refusal to vacate his rented house for over a year. Despite these claims, a thorough investigation has been initiated, according to the police official.
