In a significant overhaul within the police establishment, the Maharashtra government on Thursday enacted a series of transfers affecting nearly two dozen officers of varying ranks, including Superintendent of Police, Deputy Commissioner officers and IPS probationers.

According to the state home department's directives, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Raj Tilak Roshan has been reassigned as the Assistant Inspector General (Law and Order) at the Maharashtra police headquarters in Mumbai.

Also, IPS officer Tejaswi Satpute, previously serving as a DCP in Mumbai, has been relocated to Pune city. Sandeep Singh Gill, who served as a DCP in Pune city, has now been appointed as SP (Pune Rural), replacing Pankaj Deshmukh, who moves to Mumbai.

Further changes include Sudhakar Pathare, moving from a DCP role in Thane to a position within the Mumbai police, while DCP Laxmikant Patil, formerly Principal of the Police Training Centre in Nagpur, transitions to SP (cyber), as directed by the home department orders.

Additionally, Rohidas Pawar, who was a DCP at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, is now posted as DIG (Government Railway Police) in Pune. The reshuffle also encompasses eight IPS probationers who have been reassigned to various districts as Sub-Divisional Police Officers.
