Rajasthan Cabinet Approves Women Reservation in Police and Additional Allowance to Pensioners
The Rajasthan Cabinet has approved 33% reservation for women in the police force and a 5% additional allowance for pensioners. Additionally, land has been allotted for a 3,150 MW solar power project, expected to boost employment and revenue in the state.

The Rajasthan Cabinet on Wednesday sanctioned 33 per cent reservation for women in the police force and endorsed a five per cent additional allowance for pensioners.
The meeting, led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, also decided to allocate land for a 3,150 MW solar power project.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa disclosed that an amendment to the Rajasthan Police Subordinate Services Rules, 1989, was ratified, allowing for the one-third quota for women in the police.
A notification will soon be issued by the Personnel department on this matter, he added.
Dr. Bairwa elaborated that changes have been made to include specially-abled children, dependent parents, and specially-abled siblings of retiring state government employees in the Pension Payment Order, following amendments to Rules 67 and 87 of the Rajasthan Civil Services Pension Rules, 1996.
During discussions on the Rajasthan Appropriation and Finance Bill in the Assembly, the cabinet approved a 5 per cent additional allowance for pensioners aged 70 to 75, updating Rule 54B of Rajasthan Civil Services Pension Rules, 1996.
Law and Justice Minister Jogaram Patel emphasized that land allotment for the 3,150 MW solar power project would bolster employment opportunities and state revenue.
