Former Atlas Cycles President's Suicide Sparks FIR for Abetment
The Delhi Police have filed an FIR for abetment of suicide following the death of 65-year-old Salil Kapoor, former president of Atlas Cycles. Kapoor, who was found dead with a bullet injury, left a suicide note naming four individuals for mental and physical harassment. An investigation is underway.

Delhi Police have initiated an FIR under abetment of suicide in the case of Salil Kapoor, the 65-year-old former president of Atlas Cycles. Kapoor was discovered dead with a gunshot wound to his head in his residence on Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Road on Tuesday.
In a suicide note left behind, Kapoor cited four individuals for causing him mental and physical distress. The authorities have registered a case under section 108 (abetment of suicide) of the BNS at Tughlak Road Police Station, and the four named are expected to be summoned for questioning soon.
On Wednesday, a three-doctor board carried out a postmortem before releasing Kapoor's body to his family. Kapoor had faced legal troubles in the past, including arrests by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police in 2015 for cheating cases amounting to Rs 9 crore.
