Southampton University is poised to make history by opening its first offshore campus in India, as disclosed by Vice President International and Engagement, Andrew Atherton, in a recent interview with PTI. The university plans to offer around 30 courses to over 5,000 students over the next eight years.

Set to launch operations in the Delhi-National Capital Region by August 2025, the new campus will initially offer six courses, including undergrad programs in computing and business as well as postgraduate programs in computing and technology.

The tuition fees will be roughly 60% of those at the UK campus, targeting a broader Indian demographic seeking international education. Drawing from an already high demand for undergraduate programs in India, the campus aims to become a significant regional hub for higher education.
