Senior AAP leader and MLA Amanatullah Khan on Monday claimed that a team of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has reached his house here to arrest him.

According to sources, the ED team arrived at his residence in Okhla as part of a money laundering investigation. The Delhi Police and Central Reserve Police Force teams have been deployed at Khan's residence.

In a post on X, Khan stated, 'An ED team has reached my house to arrest me.' He referred to the action as a move by the 'dictator' to harass him and other AAP leaders. Khan represents Okhla in the Delhi Assembly.

Several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, criticized the BJP government at the Centre, alleging that agencies are targeting those who oppose the ruling party. In a video on X, Khan noted that he has been complying with all notices from the agency, yet a team arrived with a search warrant to arrest him.

Sisodia alleged that the ED's only mission is to suppress voices against the BJP, arresting those who resist. Singh claimed the ED lacks evidence against Khan and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of 'dictatorship' and the ED of 'hooliganism.' Singh highlighted that Khan had informed the agency about his mother-in-law's cancer surgery, yet the ED still proceeded with the raid.

Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva countered the AAP's claims, accusing the party of housing a 'long' list of corrupt individuals. Sachdeva asserted that Amanatullah Khan must account for his actions, particularly regarding alleged financial irregularities in the Delhi Waqf Board. 'This country operates on the principle of law, and everyone must face the consequences of their actions,' he said.
