Three Teachers Booked for Alleged Loan Fraud in Thane
Three female teachers in Thane have been accused of defrauding a colleague by convincing her to take a loan, then using her identity to secure additional loans. The incident occurred in July 2020. The accused are facing charges but have not yet been arrested.

Three women teachers have been accused of defrauding a colleague in Thane, according to a police official on Sunday.
The incident, which took place in July 2020, involved one of the accused persuading the victim to take a Rs 10 lakh loan from a nationalised bank and then handing it over to her. The accused repaid Rs 3 lakh but used the victim's Aadhaar and PAN cards to secure an additional Rs 15 lakh loan from a cooperative bank under the victim's name. Two other accused served as witnesses in the fraud, as per the Bhiwandi Town police station official.
The three teachers have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for cheating, forgery, and other offences but have not yet been arrested, the official added.
