Two Security Guards Arrested for Assaulting Hospital Staff in Cossipore

Two security guards were arrested on Saturday on charges of assaulting doctors and hospital staff in Cossipore. According to police, the guards were likely in an inebriated condition.
"The matter is being thoroughly investigated. Following a formal complaint from the hospital authorities, we have made arrests," stated an officer at Cossipore Police Station.
A senior hospital official claimed the guards had also issued threats. "The two guards, intoxicated, assaulted doctors and staff. This isn't their first offense; their behavior has been reported to the health department before," he noted. The hospital employs 11 such security guards.
