A seven-year-old boy tragically lost his life on Friday after being hit by a truck at Britannia Chowk in northwest Delhi, according to police authorities.

The driver of the truck, identified as Shakib Ali, has been taken into custody. The incident was reported in the Subhash Place area through a PCR call received in the afternoon.

By the time the police arrived, the boy had already been rushed to BJRM hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The police have seized the Tata 407 truck involved in the accident and have registered a case.
