A 24-year-old milk distributor lost his life after being struck by a speeding SUV driven by a 17-year-old in Goregaon, Mumbai, early Thursday morning, according to police sources.

The tragic event occurred at approximately 4 am in Aarey Colony, resulting in the death of Navin Vaishnaw, officials confirmed. The SUV involved, a Mahindra Scorpio, was traveling on the wrong side of the road.

Following the collision, the vehicle hit an electric pole, and the teenage driver attempted to flee but was apprehended due to his injuries. Authorities are now examining his blood samples to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol and are investigating if he had been partying with friends prior to the accident.
