Om Avadhiya, the father of the victim in the Pune Porsche accident, expressed satisfaction with the Pune Court's decision to reject the bail applications of the six accused involved in alleged blood sample manipulation. Speaking to ANI, Avadhiya stated, 'The lawyer has been doing his work. The bail of the accused has been rejected and we are satisfied with the way everything is happening. We are hopeful that we will get justice, though it might take some time and be a little late.'

Avadhiya further demanded amendments to the Motor Act to ensure minors aged 16 to 18 involved in illegal activities are tried and punished as adults. 'If the Mumbai case had not occurred, then things would have been done earlier. We want the decision of the court to be remembered in the future. We demand that the Motor Act should have a law that any aged between 16 to 18 who is involved in anything illegal should be treated as an adult and action should be taken,' he added.

On Thursday, the Juvenile Justice Board adjourned the hearing on three applications related to the Porsche crash case until September 26. The applications include the police's plea to try the minor driver as an adult and two defence pleas to release the seized Porsche car and the minor driver's passport. A Pune police official stated that the hearing on these applications, initially scheduled for Wednesday, was postponed to allow both the police and defence to file their respective replies.

On Wednesday, the JJB obtained various assessment reports about the minor, and the defence submitted its response to the police's plea. The hearing will now take place on September 26, where the JJB is likely to consider the applications to make a decision. Notably, in a tragic incident on May 19, 2024, in Pune, a speeding Porsche car driven by a 17-year-old boy allegedly under the influence of alcohol crashed into a motorcycle, killing 24-year-old Anish Awadhiya and his friend Ashwini Koshta.

The minor driver, identified as Vedant Agarwal, was allegedly served alcohol at a restaurant and bar despite being underage. The incident has led to widespread outrage and controversy over the leniency shown to the accused and the influence of political connections.
