National Security Adviser Ajit Doval arrived in Colombo on Thursday, gearing up for the Colombo Security Conclave set for Friday.
Officials confirmed that India's NSA will meet with President Ranil Wickremesinghe during his visit.
The Conclave, which features participation from National Security Advisors and Deputy NSAs from India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Mauritius, will also see Bangladesh and the Seychelles in observer roles.
Key discussions will revolve around maritime security, counter-terrorism, and cyber security, with India spotlighting its strategic interests in the Indian Ocean.
