Arunachal Pradesh Minister Mama Natung has made a strong plea to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to prioritize fencing the state's international borders to combat infiltration, drug trafficking, and insurgent activities.

Officials highlighted that Natung met with Shah in New Delhi, emphasizing the need for stringent border security measures. Arunachal Pradesh shares extensive borders with Bhutan, China, and Myanmar, making it pivotal to fortify these lines.

Natung also discussed the augmentation of vigilance at state check gates and the recent steps like linking Aadhaar cards with e-ILP. Additionally, he submitted a proposal for the 2.0 action plan for the troubled Tirap, Changlang, and Longding districts, focusing on infrastructure, mobility, and equipment enhancements. Shah assured a positive review of the proposals.
