At least one person died when a Russian missile struck a civilian infrastructure building in Kryvyi Rih, central Ukraine, on Tuesday. Regional officials reported that up to five more people could still be trapped under the rubble.
Four people were injured in the attack and have been hospitalized, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of Kryvyi Rih's military administration. He shared the information via the Telegram messaging app.
Serhiy Lisak, the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region where Kryvyi Rih is situated, also announced on Telegram that the civilian building was 'wiped out.' Reuters has not independently verified these reports, and there has been no immediate comment from Russia. The Kremlin has previously claimed that Russian forces do not target civilian objects in their attacks on Ukraine.
