A mesmerizing public art installation, The Great Elephant Migration, is currently enchanting New York City with 100 life-sized elephant sculptures crafted by skilled Indian artisans. The installation, running from September 6 to October 20 in the popular Meatpacking district, showcases harmonious coexistence between humans and wildlife.

In collaboration with Elephant Family USA, a notable international NGO, this monumental installation aims to raise awareness about environmental conservation and indigenous knowledge. The Meatpacking District Management Association emphasized that the exhibit serves as a visual testament to human-animal coexistence while captivating visitors of all ages.

Each sculpture, meticulously created from the invasive Lantana camara plant by the Coexistence Collective, tells a unique story of the native elephants living in India's Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Already generating over USD 500,000, this project stands as India's largest sustainable indigenous enterprise to date, celebrating tribal knowledge and craftsmanship.
