On Friday, Union Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav called on citizens nationwide to plant medicinal plants around their homes as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign.
The campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on World Environment Day, June 5, 2024, has gained global traction and seeks to promote environmental conservation and sustainability.
Jadhav emphasized the campaign's importance, noting that it creates awareness for environmental protection. By planting medicinal plants and sharing their efforts on social media, people can actively participate in this initiative. The National Medicinal Plants Board under the Ministry of Ayush supports this campaign by providing information on easily accessible medicinal plants.
