Cousins Shot in Market Amid Dispute: Police Hunt for Suspects

A 23-year-old man and his cousin were allegedly shot at by unidentified assailants in a market near Semri police outpost in Jaisinghpur, police reported on Monday. The incident took place on Sunday, where Avinish Dubey was present to attend his grandmother's last rites.
Dubey was purchasing items from the market when an argument erupted with some individuals who subsequently opened fire. Dubey was shot in the neck, while his cousin sustained a grazing wound. Both were rushed to Trauma Centre in Lucknow, and Dubey's condition is critical.
Police have identified two suspects, Marshal Singh and Badan Singh, and are actively working to apprehend them, according to Circle Officer Prashant Singh.
