Father Arrested for Assaulting Daughter in Thane

A 45-year-old man was arrested in Thane, Maharashtra, for reportedly assaulting his daughter with a metal pipe due to her relationship, according to authorities.
The accused, Bablu Rathod Mandal, was detained following a complaint lodged by his 21-year-old daughter. He faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for assault and kidnapping, Assistant Police Inspector Sampat Phadol confirmed.
Authorities revealed that Mandal, along with an accomplice, allegedly abducted the woman while she was with her boyfriend. They then transported her to their home in Vashi, where she sustained fractures on her hands and legs due to the assault.
