Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday criticized the Maharashtra government for allegedly supporting culprits involved in crimes against women, labeling the administration as "shameless".
Speaking at a demonstration, Thackeray emphasized the importance of dislodging the current Mahayuti government to ensure the safety of women in the state. He highlighted the recent sexual assault on two kindergarten girls in Badlapur, accusing the administration of standing with the culprits instead of taking action.
Thackeray, his wife Rashmi, and their son Aaditya led the protest at Shiv Sena Bhavan in Dadar, urging party workers to campaign under the slogan 'Bahin Surakshit tar Ghar Surakshit'. He also called for the implementation of the Shakti Bill, pending presidential assent, which proposes the death penalty for rape and gang rape.
