The CBI is intensifying its investigation into the rape-murder of a woman doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. A key focus is how the crime was executed in the facility's seminar hall, where the door's tower bolt was found broken.

Investigators are analyzing CCTV footage to determine if anyone stood guard outside the hall, ensuring the crime went undetected. Additional interviews with doctors and staff have revealed that the door malfunction had been known, preventing the victim from locking it.

On Friday, the CBI questioned former principal Sandip Ghosh and presented Sanjay Roy, the arrested suspect, in court. The CBI took over the probe from Kolkata Police following a Calcutta High Court order.
