A court here on Thursday rejected the bail applications of six individuals, including the parents of a teenage driver, implicated in an alleged blood-swapping scheme related to the Kalyani Nagar Porsche car crash case.

Additional Sessions Judge U M Mudholkar denied bail to Vishal and Shivani Agarwal, the 17-year-old driver's parents, along with Dr. Ajay Taware, Dr. Shreehari Halnor of Sassoon General Hospital, and alleged middlemen Ashpak Makandar and Amar Gaikwad.

The group is accused of conspiring to replace the teen's blood samples after he crashed into a motorbike, killing two IT professionals on May 19, to falsely indicate he was not under the influence of alcohol.

The prosecution maintained that granting bail could lead to witness intimidation and evidence tampering.

Senior Public Prosecutor Shishir Hiray emphasized that the accused had manipulated the judicial system by tampering with crucial evidence.
