Nursing Officer Arrested for Alleged Molestation in Churu District

A government hospital nursing officer in Churu district was arrested for allegedly molesting a female staffer. The victim had attempted suicide and is currently hospitalized. A case was registered against the officer under relevant sections of BNS and SC/ST Act. The accused is being interrogated.

In Churu district of Rajasthan, a nursing officer at a government hospital was apprehended on Tuesday following allegations of molesting a female staff member, as confirmed by police officials.

The victim, who holds the position of ward boy, reportedly attempted suicide on August 17 by ingesting poison at her residence. She was found and subsequently admitted to a hospital where she is receiving medical treatment.

Acting on her complaint, law enforcement registered a case against the nursing officer Subhash Chandra Sihag under pertinent sections of BNS and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act at Dudhwakhara police station on August 18, according to Superintendent of Police Jai Yadav. The investigation into the accused's actions is currently underway.
