Babul Sardar Chakhari, chairman of the Bangladesh People's Party (BPP), filed the application in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zaki-Al-Farabi, according to the Dhaka Tribune. The application specifically accuses Hasina and others of mass murder during a rally at Shapla Chattar in Motijheel on May 5, 2013.
With Hasina now facing 11 cases, including charges of murder, abduction, and crimes against humanity, the court has recorded the plaintiff's statement and will announce its decision later.
