Thane Police Officers Suspended for Exam Malpractice
Four police personnel in Thane district have been suspended for allegedly assisting a candidate during a recent recruitment examination. The candidate's father, a serving police constable, was also implicated. CCTV footage revealed the malpractice, leading to the suspension of the officers and cancellation of the candidate's selection.

Four police personnel in Thane district have been suspended for allegedly assisting a candidate during a recent recruitment examination, a senior official revealed on Saturday. The candidate's father, a serving police constable, was also involved in the malpractice.
District Superintendent of Police D S Swami informed PTI that CCTV footage caught the accused officers in the act. The suspended personnel include a sub-inspector and three constables.
Subsequent to an inquiry, all four officers were suspended, and the selection of the implicated candidate was cancelled, confirmed Swami.
