Israeli Airstrike Kills Six, Injures Three in Southern Lebanon
An Israeli airstrike on a residential building in Nabatieh city, southern Lebanon, killed six and wounded three. The attack reportedly targeted a Hezbollah weapons depot amidst rising regional tensions following a rocket strike in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights that killed 12, leading to retaliatory actions by both sides.
An Israeli airstrike on a residential building in Nabatieh city, located in southern Lebanon, claimed the lives of at least six individuals and injured three others, according to the Lebanese health ministry early Saturday.
The Israeli military described the airstrike as a targeted operation against a weapons depot utilized by Hezbollah militants. The incident comes amid escalating tensions in the region. A recent rocket strike, attributed to Hezbollah, led to the deaths of 12 children and teens in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. In response, Israel assassinated a top Hezbollah commander in Beirut's suburbs.
Hezbollah has vowed retaliation against Israel, with further threats emerging from Iran following the killing of Ismail Haniyeh, the political chief of the Palestinian Hamas group, in Tehran.
