In a significant development, three police officers in Nagpur, including a sub-inspector, have been suspended for reportedly facilitating unfair practices during a recruitment examination for constables.
The suspension order was issued by Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Singal. The officers—sub-inspector Sanjay Chauhan, head constable Santosh Fakunde, and constable Siddharth Lokhande—will be suspended for three months while an inquiry is ongoing.
The alleged incident took place on July 28 during a written test held at two colleges in Wanadongri, where candidates were suspected of discussing questions and writing answers illicitly. CCTV footage and an internal investigation confirmed the allegations, leading to the suspensions. Further inquiries are set to continue.
