Deepak Sharma, an assistant superintendent of police at Mandoli Jail, has been suspended for misconduct. A video showing him dancing with a pistol at a party has gone viral on social media.
The 18-second clip shows Sharma dancing with two other men to the Bollywood song 'Khalnayak hoon main' at a party hosted by a political leader in East Delhi. Eyewitnesses claim shots were fired at the event, though police have not confirmed this.
Sharma, who is popular on social media with 4.4 lakh Instagram followers, has been involved in high-profile raids, including those at Sukesh Chandrashekar's barrack in Tihar Jail. He is currently under investigation, and his case has been referred to the superintendent of jail number 15.
