Mohd Javed Choudhary, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) candidate for the Budhal Assembly constituency, expressed gratitude on Wednesday to the party's high command, asserting that JKNC is committed to secularism and public welfare.

Choudhary pointed out the severe unemployment issue plaguing Budhal, noting a decade-long hiatus in recruitment. He called for swift government formation to address the community's concerns.

On Tuesday, JKNC rolled out a list of 32 candidates for the forthcoming assembly elections, including Omar Abdullah contesting from Ganderbal. This announcement followed the seat-sharing arrangement with Congress, which will contest 32 seats, while JKNC will field candidates in 51 of the 90 total seats. Polling will occur over three phases: September 18, 25, and October 1, with vote counting on October 4.
