The body of a 30-year-old unidentified man was discovered in a water-filled quarry at Sanjay Gandhi National Park on Wednesday, according to a Thane civic body official.
Police informed the local fire brigade of the grim discovery, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Thane Municipal Corporation Disaster Management Cell.
The body was retrieved from the quarry, and a case of accidental death has been registered as investigations continue.
