Swift Response Averts Tragedy in Thane Building Fire
Around 50 people were rescued from a seven-storey residential building in Thane, Maharashtra after a fire erupted in the electric meter room on the ground floor. The flames quickly spread to the seventh floor. Prompt action by disaster management and police personnel prevented any casualties.

A fire broke out on Tuesday morning in the electric meter room of a seven-storey residential building in Thane city, Maharashtra, endangering the lives of its inhabitants.
Occupants quickly evacuated as flames spread from the ground floor to the top through the duct area. Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) chief Yasin Tadvi reported that approximately 50 residents were rescued by RDMC and police personnel.
The blaze was controlled after an hour-long effort. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire.
