BSF Director General Nitin Agrawal on Sunday evaluated the operational preparedness of troops stationed along the International Border in the Jammu sector, according to a force official.

Arriving on Saturday for a two-day visit, Agrawal assessed the security situation with top officials, including Special Director General BSF, Western Command, Y B Khurania, and Inspector General, BSF, Jammu frontier, D K Boora. The assessment included a joint security review meeting chaired by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, focusing on recent increases in terror activities and cross-border infiltration.

The BSF chief also met Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who held a separate meeting with senior officers regarding counter-terrorism operations. On Sunday, a BSF spokesman stated that Agrawal reviewed troops' preparedness at the Jammu border and discussed operational strategies with unit commandants.

Immediately after his arrival, senior officers, including Khurania and Boora, briefed Agrawal on the prevailing security scenario. During his visit, Agrawal interacted with the troops, commending their dedication and professionalism.
