Samajwadi Party MP Maulana Mohibullah Nadvi has called on India to mediate in the Gaza and Ukraine conflicts, emphasizing the nation's exemplary humanitarian approach. Nadvi, in a discussion with PTI editors, lamented the global indifference to Palestinian suffering in Gaza.

Nadvi strongly urged Indian intervention, invoking historical figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru who opposed oppression. He cited Gandhi's belief that every person born in a land has a right to it, paralleling Indian and Palestinian rights.

He described the displacement of Palestinians and global silence as a humanitarian loss, advocating for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid. India's role at the UN and its longstanding support for a two-state solution were also noted.
