The Sirmaur police apprehended three family members on Monday, accused of manufacturing and supplying drugs, and seized Rs 24.40 lakh in cash, according to officials.

Superintendent of Police Sirmaur, Raman Kumar Meena, stated that the arrest took place during a raid in Balmiki Basti in Nahan, Sirmaur district. Those arrested were identified as Prem Chand (71), his son Sagar (44), and his grandson Sangram alias Anshul (21). The family had been under police surveillance for some time for their involvement in illegal drug activities, Meena confirmed.

Authorities recovered 336 Spasmax Tramadol Capsules, 159.80 grams of charas, 38.10 grams of opium, and 23.34 grams of heroin (Chitta) from the accused. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway, Meena added.
