NDRF Recovers 13 Bodies Amid Himachal Pradesh Cloudburst; Rescue Operations Continue

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) reported the recovery of 13 bodies following a catastrophic cloudburst near the Samej and Bagi bridges on July 31. Rescue operations in the disaster-stricken area remain ongoing as more people are reported missing.
Baljinder Singh, Commandant of the NDRF's 14th Battalion, stated that teams were dispatched to remote locations in Himachal Pradesh to ensure swift rescue operations. He emphasized that the NDRF was well-equipped and prepared this year, minimizing delays in their response efforts.
Speaking to ANI, Singh said, "We've recovered 13 bodies so far, with four recovered earlier. Of the ten people missing, nine bodies have been found, and efforts to locate the remaining individual are ongoing." The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported significant rainfall across the state, prompting an orange alert for several districts.
