In a significant drug bust, the Punjab Police has arrested two individuals after allegedly recovering over six kilograms of heroin in Ferozepur district.

Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav stated that Rs 6 lakh in cash was also seized from the arrested duo, identified as Simran Kaur alias Indu (38) and Gurjot Singh (28), both from Moga.

Simran Kaur, with a history of 15 criminal cases, and Gurjot Singh were intercepted after police received a tip-off regarding a drone-dropped narcotic consignment. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further links, including identifying a Pakistan-based smuggler involved in the operation.
