Fatal Shooting on Kota-Baran Highway Stirs Enmity Concerns

A 25-year-old man was fatally shot during an attack by a group of assailants outside a roadside eatery on the Kota-Baran national highway, police reported on Friday.
Initial investigations hint at a possible enmity between two groups as the motive behind the killing. The victim, Rohit Meena from Arnaya village, suffered a head injury from a bullet on Thursday night and died during treatment, police sources confirmed.
Following a complaint from family members, police filed a murder case against five men, including accused Rohit Meena, Sharanjeet, Lucky, Somesh, and other unidentified individuals, under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Four suspects have been detained for interrogation, while efforts to trace other accused persons are ongoing, said DSP Beni Prasad, who is leading the investigation.
