Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty informed PTI that the arrested individuals, Sohel Miah and Dilwar Hussain, are residents of Sonamura subdivision in Sepahijala district. The heroin consignment, originating from Myanmar via Mizoram, was intended for delivery in Sonamura near the Bangladesh border. An investigation is currently in progress, with police seizing heroin worth Rs 31 crore from various parts of the district in June alone.
