In a recent development, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has indicated his readiness to serve in a Trump administration. This follows Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's suggestion that Musk could be considered for a cabinet or advisory position if he wins the upcoming election. "I am willing to serve," Musk posted on his 'X' platform after Trump's comments during a Reuters interview.

During the interview, Trump elaborated on his interest in involving Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, in his administration should he return to the White House. Trump stated he would offer Musk a significant role, provided the entrepreneur was amenable to participating in such activities.

Additionally, Trump mentioned he might consider abolishing a $7,500 tax credit for electric vehicle purchases if re-elected. Trump argued, "Tax credits and tax incentives are generally not a very good thing," during his conversation with the news agency.

Last month, Musk endorsed Trump's candidacy after an assassination attempt on the former president in Pennsylvania. Musk subsequently interviewed Trump on his social media platform X, an event that was disrupted by a significant DDoS attack but garnered over a billion views.

Musk's support for Trump also extends financially, with reports indicating that the entrepreneur is contributing $45 million per month to a new political action committee backing the Republican candidate. Known as the America PAC, the committee aims to bolster voter outreach and registration efforts. The presidential election is slated for November 5, with Vice President Kamala Harris running for the Democrats after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race.
