Officials reported on Sunday that Choudhary, alongside six others—including an NHAI Consultant, his Resident Engineer, and four employees of a private company—were taken into custody on Saturday evening.
Sources close to the investigation revealed that the accused were implicated in receiving bribes pertaining to the final handover, issuance of a no-objection certificate, and processing the final bill for the Jhansi-Khajuraho Project awarded to the implicated private company by NHAI.
