An Israeli Bedouin soldier was killed in a bombardment by Hezbollah, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Monday. Warrant Officer Mahmood Amaria, 45, from Ibtin, a Bedouin town, lost his life in a drone attack in the western Galilee.

The attack resulted in serious injuries to another soldier. Close to 80,000 Israelis evacuated their homes near the Lebanon border after Hezbollah began launching rockets and drones in October. These attacks have so far claimed the lives of 26 civilians and 19 soldiers.

Israeli officials are urging for the disarmament and removal of Hezbollah from southern Lebanon, aligning with UN Security Council resolution 1701, which concluded the 2006 Second Lebanon War.
