Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu has affirmed his government's dedication to strengthening the historic and close ties between the Maldives and India. In a statement from the Maldivian President's Office, Muizzu highlighted India's role as a pivotal ally, providing crucial aid whenever needed.

The President made these remarks during a ceremony at his office while handing over India's Line of Credit-funded water and sewerage facilities on 28 Maldivian islands. Muizzu noted that these projects would significantly boost local economies and contribute to national prosperity, marking critical milestones in bilateral relations.

Expressing his gratitude, Muizzu thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian government, and the people for their continuous support. Recalling his recent visit to India, he appreciated the invitation and the opportunity to connect with Indian leaders.

Muizzu emphasized the High Impact Community Development Projects under Indian Grant Assistance, which showcase the countries' collaborative efforts in socio-economic development. He announced ongoing revolutionary initiatives aimed at accelerating community benefits.
