United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned a fatal Israeli air strike that occurred before dawn in a designated safe zone in southern Gaza, according to U.N. spokesperson Stephane Dujarric.

Dujarric stated that 'the use of heavy weapons in densely populated areas is unconscionable.' He emphasized that Palestinians had relocated to Khan Younis in search of shelter and safety, following repeated instructions from Israeli authorities.

The incident raises serious concerns about the safety of civilians in conflict zones and the adherence to international humanitarian laws.
