Kerala HC Criticizes Delay on Justice Hema Report

A special division bench noted that the report, submitted over four years ago, required immediate government response. The court directed the report to be given to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for necessary legal action.

Furthermore, the bench emphasized the urgent need for addressing women's issues in the state, especially in the Malayalam cinema industry, following allegations of harassment and exploitation. The SIT has been mandated to conduct a thorough and fair investigation, ensuring sensitivity to privacy rights.
