Chilean President Gabriel Boric Visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in UAE

Chilean President Gabriel Boric, with UAE officials, visited Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi to honor the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and explore the mosque's architectural magnificence and cultural significance

Abu Dhabi [UAE], July 30 (ANI/WAM): The President of Chile, Gabriel Boric Font, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. He was accompanied by Reem Al Hashemi, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Chile, and other senior officials as part of his official trip to the UAE.

President Boric and his delegation began the visit by paying respects at the mausoleum of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Reflecting on Sheikh Zayed's qualities and approach, they acknowledged his contributions to promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence globally.

During the visit, Boric's delegation toured the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, guided by Dr. Yousif Al Obaidli, Director-General of the mosque centre. They were briefed on the mosque's core messages of coexistence and tolerance. The tour also highlighted the mosque's role in advancing Islamic cultural understanding and its architectural beauty. Concluding the visit, Boric received a gift that included floral mosaic designs, a compass inspired by mosque chandeliers, and the book 'Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace,' capturing the mosque's architectural elegance through award-winning photographs.
