Crown Prince Inaugurates First IIT Campus in Abu Dhabi

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi inaugurated the first international campus of India's prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
The UAE's official news agency, WAM, announced the inauguration, which was attended by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed.
Strategic partnerships were launched between IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi, its parent campus, and leading higher education institutions in Abu Dhabi, including Khalifa University, Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, and Zayed University, promoting joint research, academic programs, and exchanges.
The collaboration aims to foster joint research projects, postgraduate student exchanges, and internships. Sheikh Khaled emphasized the significance of this initiative in establishing Abu Dhabi as a global R&D hub.
The foundation of IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi was formalized through an agreement witnessed by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in July 2023.
